The ClickStory
ClickDiagnostics is a global mHealth enterprise formed by international development activists from Harvard University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) to address three main health care issues affecting over one billion people in the world:
1. Poor access to effective medical treatment in under-served regions;
2. Lack of medical specialists;
3. Collection of real-time health data for interventions addressing HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria, cancer, and maternal/child mortality.
As cell phone coverage extends to all corners of the world, mobile-phone based health services can be used to collect patient health data and enable remote diagnosis connecting patients to medical professionals, anywhere.
Since our incorporation in May, 2008, we have been implementing mobile-phone based tele-consultation services in Africa, South Asia, and the Americas, enable patients to access quality medical treatment in areas where there are no doctors. At the same time, we have been working with health organizations, governments, and NGOs, to collect real-time health data enabling effective health interventions. With a mobile tele-consultation platform, we also added medical record analysis features enabling doctors to view patient medical history in order to provide appropriate diagnosis and treatment advice.
